Québec City has a LOT to offer. Its history as well as its outdoor vibe gives  this small city so much to do that you won’t know where to start! So here are our latest recommendations:

This map is probably where you will find the most updated info:

FOOD

Lunch/Brunch

Chez Ashton: BEST POUTINE in the WORLD: Several locations but the one on Grande Allée is the best 3am joint.

Le Cosmos: Le Cosmos is a fun chain of restaurants owned by our friends JP and Louis. Great decor, fun atmosphere and a varied menu to please everyone.

Le Buffet de L'Antiquaire: Best hole in the wall authentic Quebec cuisine.

Le Cochon Dingue: There are several locations in the city. All very French and delicious!

Dinner

La Planque: Amazing restaurant in the hip neighborhood of Limoilou. The cuisine there is “New Québec”. Really worth it.

Chez Boulay: This is a more sophisticated version of La Planque (not the same owners). Original, upscale Québec cuisine that is worth trying. Centrally located in the Old City, it is very easy to get to!

Arvi: Best best place for a sophisticated, local ingredient place. A must!

Bars/Fun Scene:

The main bar scene is situated on Grand Allée Street towards the Old City. However, here are some great bars outside that area:

1608: Great wine bar inside the Chateau Frontenac. Great view of the St-Lawrence river.

Clarendon Hotel Bar: This great Jazz bar takes you back in time, which is perfect for this Old City hotel.
